Lifestyle Medicine And Wellness Practice Celebrates Fall Festival 2021
For the Chamber of Commerce, the health of the business community and the even bigger community in which it lives are inseparable. Hence, in an effort to join together community-minded businesses and community members for fun, food, and music, the Fall Festival and Business Expo was held last November 7, 2021 at the Ottawa University Campus in Surprise, Arizona.

For Dr. Edelita Jamis, Owner at Lifestyle Medicine And Wellness Practice, joining the Fall Festival and Business Expo meant an opportunity to reach more people who’d like to take charge of their health and to get families together on this fun-filled day. She was joined by her husband and her plant-based twin sons who showed their full support, too. According to Dr. Jamis, around 75 people stopped by their booth and were also given a 2-minute education about fiber. For better appreciation and understanding, there were two grouping samples of grocery items displayed at their booth — one labeled as common choice, and the other as better choice — in order to highlight the importance of reading nutrition labels.

To top it all off, those who visited their booth had a chance to win exciting prizes by joining a simple raffle contest. Among the 38 participants, the lucky winner was a staff member at the Ottawa University, who got to take home two books by Dr. Greger: “How Not to Die” and “How Not to Die CookBook” as well as a reading light!
